Every dog at our facility is required to enroll in either our socialization “Explorers” program or one of our signature training programs before attending daycare or boarding at our facility. By having a social learning atmosphere where all of the dogs have the same skills, the dogs spend less time having to be micromanaged and more time having fun, playing and relaxing!
We provide on-site outdoor facilities for your dog to run leash-free. Many facilities are in warehouse complexes, but we own our own land – almost three acres of it. We are Charleston’s only learning-based facility. Every dog staying with us is on a customized care and activity package that suits their needs. We feel that dogs are happiest when receiving lots of activities and personal attention. Keeping the dogs on a routine also helps them to adjust quicker and prevents forming bad habits.
We are also the only facility that has full-time dog behaviorists/trainers on staff. Our exclusive, non-traditional group socials are so much more than play. We teach dogs how to play with manners, so they learn to read the body language of other dogs, become more responsive to us, and make better decisions on their own. Our unique approach to training and daycare teaches dogs social skills, manners and the ability to self regulate their energy, intensity and emotional state.

Yes. Reservations are required.
We have a required naptime between 12:00pm and 1:30pm daily. During this nap time, there are no staff going in and out of the boarding building. The environment remains calm, so the dogs in our care get the restorative sleep they need. Just like children who cannot calm down for a nap, many dogs are the same. The idea of cageless boarding and dog daycare has become popular recently. Many dogs can handle that kind of atmosphere, but many cannot. Super social dogs cannot rest when activity is happening, and may get cranky and overtired.
We strive at all times to keep your dog safe and in a balanced state of mind. We find that constant movement and overexcited play can often lead to fights. Playing is good. But, too much play or activity that keeps the dog too excited is not a good idea for most dogs. You would be amazed at how happy the dogs are to go into their comfy rooms and take a nap. They look forward to and let us know that it’s naptime!
Yes. A surcharge of $25/day is added for male dogs older than 9 months. Besides the safety issues, a female in heat puts out hormones that can cause undo stress for other dogs while they are boarding. For this reason, we do not allow females in heat to board. If a female goes into heat unexpectedly while boarding, a surcharge of $25/day is added.

We can handle that! As a boutique facility, we are able to cater to your dog’s individual needs. We have special packages designed for more one-on-one time.
Food: We encourage our dog boarding guests to remain on their own food. It lowers their GI stress levels and keeps their digestion regular. Please divide your dog’s daily allowance of food into a bag per day marked with your dog’s name. If further division is needed due to medications/supplements, please portion into meals. For sanitary purposes, we are unable to accept dog food bags. If you forget to bring your dog’s food, we will provide our house food at $5 per meal.
Medications: For your dog’s safety, all medications must be in the original container. Please mark them with your dog’s name and the dosage should also be clear.
As a small boutique facility, with limited storage space, we ask that you keep bedding and toys at home. We provide comfy bedding and blankets. We have plenty of enrichment toys to keep your dogs happy and entertained during their stay!
If your dog is sick or injured during their stay, we will contact you about the situation. If we are unable to reach you and feel your dog needs veterinary attention, we will first try to get them to their regular veterinarian. If we are unable to get them to their regular veterinarian, we will take them to the closest veterinarian of our choosing for treatment.
We provide care for dogs of all ages and with all manner of special needs. Our facility is a boutique size for a reason. We are able to give the most attention and care to all our dog boarding guests.
Tours of our facility are given to clients on their foundations lesson by request. To provide exceptional care and fun for all of our guests, we use all available yard and building space throughout our very structured day. It can be very stressful for dogs to see people they do not know in these areas. During a tour, all our guests are safely in their rooms before bringing strangers through our buildings and yards. During inclement weather, access to our back lodging building may not be possible.
